According to another Hadeeth: “The curse of the persecuted one is accepted (by Allah)<br />
even if he be an evil-doer.”<br />
In one Hadeeth Allah says: “I do not reject the prayer of the unjustly persecuted one even<br />
if he be a non believer.” (Hisne-Haseen)<br />
Rasulullah (S<strong>al</strong>l<strong>al</strong>lahu Alayhi Was<strong>al</strong>lam) <strong>al</strong>so said: “My Ummat will continue to live on<br />
the path of good and prosperity for as long as there will be no great incidence of<br />
illegitimate children among them. And when illegitimate children become Widespread<br />
among them, Allah will cause a great c<strong>al</strong>amity of punishment to beset thcm.” (Targheeb)<br />
Just forget for a moment he secret and hidden adultery and fornication that abounds<br />
today. Apart frorri that, is there any town or village anywhere where openly, boldly,<br />
flagrantly and shamelessly adultery and illegitimate children do not abound? Is it not a<br />
fact that even the Muslim members of the loc<strong>al</strong> town councils, loc<strong>al</strong> authorities and<br />
municip<strong>al</strong>ities are forced to provide for these fatherless kids? Who can deny the great<br />
overwhelming presence of illegitimacy and fornication amongst us?<br />
Rasulullah (S<strong>al</strong>l<strong>al</strong>lahu Alayhi Was<strong>al</strong>lam) is reported to have said: “The people among<br />
whom the taking of interest and indulgence in adultery appears openly, have indeed<br />
invited Allah’s wrath and anger upon themselves.” (Targheeb)<br />
Now think! How large is the number of those involved in this immor<strong>al</strong> deed of evil?<br />
Think how many are the seemingly cultured men of nobility who rent out their properties<br />
for this evil of prostitution? Think how many religious minded members of loc<strong>al</strong><br />
municip<strong>al</strong>ities there are who are forced to provide speci<strong>al</strong> places where this low and<br />
shameful deed (of prostitution) can be performed?<br />
Another thing: It has been reported in numerous authentic Ahaadeeth that the houses<br />
wherein there are dogs and pictures are not visited by the Angels of mercy.<br />
Abu Wa-il (Radi<strong>al</strong>lahu anhu) says: “Once I was accompanied by Sayyidina Umar<br />
(Radi<strong>al</strong>lahu anhu) on a journey into battle somewhere in Syria. While we stopped to rest<br />
at a certain place, the ruler of the loc<strong>al</strong>ity, very eager to meet the ameer, came forward<br />
and as he arrived, he fell into prostration before Sayyidina Umar, Sayyidina Umar<br />
inquired:”Why are you prostrating before me?”<br />
He replied:<br />
“This has been our practice with regard to our own kings.”<br />
Sayyidina Umar (Radi<strong>al</strong>lahu anhu) replied:<br />
“Perform sujood only in front of the Being who has created you.” Then the ruler said:<br />
“I have prepared a me<strong>al</strong> for you. Will you kindly proceed with me to our house?”<br />
Sayyidina Umar (Radi<strong>al</strong>lahu anhu) inquired:<br />
“Please tell me. Are there any pictures (of animate beings) in your house?” The ruler<br />
replied:<br />
“Yes there are.”<br />
Sayyidina Umar (Radi<strong>al</strong>lahu anhu) said:<br />
“We sh<strong>al</strong>l not enter into such a house. You may send some food to me here.” The ruler<br />
then had some food sent to Sayyidina Umar and he ate it.<br />
