1729) and his wife Ruth Brewster Picket. Israel removed to<br />

Sharon, Conn., in 1801, to Buffalo, N. Y., in Oct., 1818, and in<br />

1833 to Cheektowaga, N. Y., where he d. Jan. 4, 1855. Eunice<br />

d. there Oct. 7, 1858.<br />

young; Ezra <strong>Sterling</strong>, Augusta E. Ezra <strong>Sterling</strong><br />

m. Harriet G. Mason and d. in Fredonia, N. Y., Apr.<br />

15, 1899. He was the father of Richard <strong>The</strong>odore<br />

Ely, Ph.D., L.L.D., of the University of Wisconsin,<br />

Biog. ; Appleton's Biog. Dictionary, etc.) Ezra<br />

was also father of George Stetson Ely, Ph.D., of<br />
