; removed to Great Valley, N. Y. Had two<br />

sons, Samuel and Bradley.<br />

600 Anna Way, b. Feb. 9, 1805 ; m. Jacob Jones and d. in<br />

N. Y. State July 9, 1849, without issue.<br />

601 Mary Way, b. Feb. 4, 1807; m. and lived in Boston.<br />

Had one dau., who married a grocer named Buffum<br />

of Boston.<br />

603 Abigail Way, b. Jan. 21, 1809; d. unm. May 9, 1867.<br />

242 SARAH STERLIN (sister of the above), b. in <strong>Sterling</strong><br />

City, Aug. 23, 1766; m. about 1788 Abiah Rice, b. Nov. 10,<br />

1759-60.<br />

Abiah Rice, although a lad not yet sixteen years old, shoul-<br />

dered a musket and marched to Boston and took part in the Battle<br />

of Bunker Hill, June 17, 1775. He received a bullet wound in<br />

the neck. To his descendants he is known as " Sergeant." He<br />

and his wife lived at South Woodstock, Vt., at Reading and neigh-<br />

boring towns. He d. Apr. 26, 1845. Mrs. Sarah Rice d. Feb. 6,<br />

1864, in her 98th year. At her death she was one of the last<br />

Revolutionary pensioners in the State. <strong>The</strong>y are buried at<br />

Hammondsville.<br />
