Business overview<br />

Downstream - Refining & Marketing<br />

5.6% of the refinery to ERG. In return, TOTAL sold its 18% interest<br />

in the Reichstett refinery in France to Shell.<br />

During <strong>2005</strong>, six of TOTAL’s refineries in Europe were affected by<br />

major turnarounds. These turnarounds were also used by TOTAL<br />

to adapt the refining units to meet new European requirements for<br />
