Two Fellows have been removed from <strong>the</strong> list <strong>of</strong> Fellows by<br />

order <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Council.<br />

And 27 Fello\^'s (<strong>of</strong> whom 24 have qualified), 2 Associates, and<br />

3 Foreign Members have been elected.<br />

The Librarian's report was read as follows :<br />

During <strong>the</strong> past year 131 Volumes and 135 Pamphlets have been<br />

received as Donations from Private Individuals.<br />

From <strong>the</strong> various Universities, Academies, and Scientific Societies,<br />

291 volumes and 70 detached parts have been received in exchange<br />

and o<strong>the</strong>rwise, besides 57 volumes and 41 parts obtained by exchange<br />

and as Donations from <strong>the</strong> Editors and Proprietors <strong>of</strong> independent<br />

Periodicals.<br />

The Council has sanctioned <strong>the</strong> purchase <strong>of</strong> 187 volumes and 83<br />

parts <strong>of</strong> important works.<br />

The total additions to <strong>the</strong> <strong>Library</strong> are <strong>the</strong>refore 666 volumes<br />

and 329 separate parts.<br />

The number <strong>of</strong> Books bound during <strong>the</strong> year is as follows :<br />

In half-morocco 333 volumes, in half-calf 15 volumes, in full cloth<br />

186 volumes, in vellum 31 volumes, in buckram 21 volumes, in<br />

boards or half-cloth 18 volumes. Relabelled (half-morocco and<br />

cloth backs) 49 volumes. Total 653 volumes.<br />

The General Secretary having read <strong>the</strong> Bye-Laws governing <strong>the</strong><br />

Elections, <strong>the</strong> President opened <strong>the</strong> business <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> day, and <strong>the</strong><br />

Fellows present proceeded to Ballot for <strong>the</strong> Council and Officers.<br />

The Ballot for <strong>the</strong> Council having been closed, <strong>the</strong> President nominated<br />

Mr. W. Carru<strong>the</strong>rs, Rev. Canon Fowler, and Mr. Henry<br />

Groves, Scrutineers ; and <strong>the</strong> Votes having been counted and reported<br />

to <strong>the</strong> President, he declared that <strong>the</strong> Rev. R. A. Bullen,<br />

Pr<strong>of</strong>. J. Reynolds Green, Mr. G. Massee, Colonel C. Swinhoe,<br />

and Mr. A. O. Walker had been removed from <strong>the</strong> Council, and that
