The Minutes <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> General Meeting <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 2nd February were<br />

read and confirmed.<br />

Mrs. Henderina Victoria Scott and Mr. Charles Blades Coverdale<br />

Store}' were admitted.<br />

Mr. Johannes Gossweiler and Miss Edith Eebecca Sauuders<br />

were proposed as Fellows.<br />

Mr. Thomas Vere Hodgson and Miss Viola Annette Latham,<br />

M.D., were severally balloted for and elected Fellows.<br />

The Vice-Peesident in <strong>the</strong> Chair <strong>the</strong>n read <strong>the</strong> following letter<br />

from <strong>the</strong> Private Secretary <strong>of</strong> H.M. <strong>the</strong> Queen, in reply to <strong>the</strong><br />

President's letter dated 3rd February :<br />

Four vacancies in <strong>the</strong> List <strong>of</strong> Foreign Members were announced<br />

from <strong>the</strong> Chair, due to <strong>the</strong> deaths <strong>of</strong> Dr. Michael Woeonin,<br />

Dr. EuDOLPH Amandus Philippi, Pr<strong>of</strong>. Eduaed von Maexens,<br />

and Dr. Beenaed Eenault.<br />

A circular from <strong>the</strong> Societe de Physique et d'Histoire Naturelle<br />

de Geneve, announcing that <strong>the</strong> A. P. de Candolle prize <strong>of</strong> 500 francs<br />

will be awarded for <strong>the</strong> best unpublished monograph <strong>of</strong> a genus or<br />

order <strong>of</strong> plants, was also laid before <strong>the</strong> <strong>Society</strong>.
