Patshan Hospital, Canton, and Mr. Hugh Praser Macmillan,<br />

Curator <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya, Ceylon, were<br />

proposed as Fellows.<br />

Mr. Arthur James Dicks and Mrs. Maude Muff were elected<br />

Fellows.<br />

Pr<strong>of</strong>. Paul Friedrich August Ascherson, Pr<strong>of</strong>. Gottlieb Haber-<br />

landt, Pr<strong>of</strong>. Ainbrosius Arnold Willem Hubrecht, and Pr<strong>of</strong>.<br />

Charles Rene Zeiller were elected Foreign Members.<br />

The following papers were read :<br />

The Minutes <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> General Meeting <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 4th May were read<br />

and conlirmed.<br />

Mr. Reginald Innes Pocock, F.Z.S., Mrs. Maude MuflF, Miss<br />

Lilian Jane Clarke, Mrs. Maria Matilda Ogilvie Gordon, D.Sc.<br />

Lond., Ph.D. Munich, Her Grace <strong>the</strong> Duchess <strong>of</strong> Bedford,<br />

Lady Busk, Mr. William Wise, and <strong>the</strong> Rev. William Moyle<br />

Rogers were admitted Fellows.<br />

The Treasurer <strong>the</strong>n laid his Annual Statement <strong>of</strong> Accounts<br />

before <strong>the</strong> Fellows, as shown on p. 15, and <strong>the</strong> President having<br />

spoken briefly, Mr. Henry Groves moved, and Pr<strong>of</strong>. F. W. Oliver,<br />

F.R.S., seconded, " That <strong>the</strong> Treasurer's statement be adopted,"<br />

which was carried.
