Anniversary Meeting.<br />

Pr<strong>of</strong>. Sydney H. Vines, F.E.S,, President, in <strong>the</strong> Chair.<br />

The Minutes <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> last Meeting were read and confirmed.<br />

Dr. Felix Eugen Fritsch and Mr. Thomas George Hill were<br />

admitted Fellows <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Society</strong>.<br />

The Eev. T. E. E. Stebbing on behalf <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Auditors presented<br />

<strong>the</strong> accounts <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> past financial year ending on <strong>the</strong> 30th April<br />

(see p. 13).<br />

Mr. Heney Gboves expressed a hope that Dr. Prior's legacy <strong>of</strong><br />

£100 would be applied to <strong>the</strong> permanent benefit <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Society</strong>,<br />

and asked for information as to an apparent increase in <strong>the</strong><br />

Salaries.<br />

The General Secretary pointed out that <strong>the</strong> usual employment<br />

<strong>of</strong> legacies was by <strong>the</strong> purchase <strong>of</strong> books for <strong>the</strong> Libraiy, each<br />

volume bearing a label <strong>of</strong> its origin from <strong>the</strong> testator in question ;<br />

he also stated that <strong>the</strong> apparent increase was due to a gilt <strong>of</strong> .£50<br />

to Mr. Harting on his removal from <strong>the</strong> residential rooms<br />

belonging to <strong>the</strong> <strong>Society</strong>.<br />

The General Secretary read his report <strong>of</strong> deaths, withdrawals,<br />

and elections as follows :<br />
