5.1.8.5 Requirements<br />

Team<br />

Management NMRC: special<strong>is</strong>t physician (expert<strong>is</strong>e and experience <strong>in</strong> diagnos<strong>is</strong> and<br />

treatment of neuromuscular d<strong>is</strong>orders)<br />

Multid<strong>is</strong>cipl<strong>in</strong>ary rehabilitation team as a specified entity <strong>in</strong> a NMRC:<br />

Medical rehabilitation special<strong>is</strong>t<br />

Team <strong>The</strong> multid<strong>is</strong>cipl<strong>in</strong>ary rehabilitation team <strong>is</strong> composed of at least:<br />

Physician special<strong>is</strong>ed <strong>in</strong> Rehabilitation medic<strong>in</strong>e (0.5 FTE)<br />

Nurse (1 FTE)<br />

Physical therap<strong>is</strong>t (0.5 FTE)<br />

Occupational <strong>The</strong>rap<strong>is</strong>t (0.5 FTE)<br />

Psycholog<strong>is</strong>t (part time)<br />

Dietician (part time)<br />

Social worker (part time)<br />

Adm<strong>in</strong><strong>is</strong>trative worker (0.5 FTE) for every 50 patients <strong>in</strong>cluded <strong>in</strong> the<br />

NMRC agreement<br />

Experts Besides the above mentioned core d<strong>is</strong>cipl<strong>in</strong>es the rehabilitation team must<br />

prove they can rely on rehabilitation technicians at all times<br />

Infrastructure<br />

General Infrastructure needs to be adapted for wheelchair bound patients<br />

(accessibility of rooms)<br />

Volume M<strong>in</strong>imum capacity to ensure expert<strong>is</strong>e <strong>with</strong> Neuromuscular d<strong>is</strong>orders<br />

NMRC (general): m<strong>in</strong> of 100 patients / year<br />

Multid<strong>is</strong>cipl<strong>in</strong>ary rehabilitation team: m<strong>in</strong> of 50 patients / year<br />
