7.4 Preparing the NIM master With all the NIM resources in place, it is simple to begin the installation of a new operating system to the target machine, in this case a BladeCenter JS20. 1. Launch WebSM and view the configured machine objects from the NIM section. 2. Right-click the object for the desired machine and select Install Operating System, as shown in Figure 7-14. Although this is beyond the scope of this book, you can find instructions in the AIX product manuals. 7.5 Preparing the client With the NIM server configuration complete, simply boot the BladeCenter JS20 from the network as explained in 5.5.3, “Open Firmware interfaces” on page 94.
