version packaged with CSM. And you are prompted to accept the licenses
associated with some software packages distributed with CSM.
Make sure you resolve any errors reported by the installms command before
you continue with the next step.
Copying the code required for BladeCenter JS20s
The BladeCenter JS20 has a different hardware architecture than the xSeries
server that we used for our management node. Therefore, you must copy the
code required for the BladeCenter JS20s to the management node. This
includes:
► SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9 for IBM POWER
► CSM for Linux on pSeries
► CSM prerequisites
We used the CSM copycds and copycsmpkgs commands to copy the operating
system, service pack, CSM software, and prerequisites for the BladeCenter JS20
cluster nodes to the management node. Both of these commands require you to
specify any attributes that are different to the operating system environment on
the management node. In our scenario, we specified the InstallPkgArchitecture
attribute, because the blade server cluster nodes have a different architecture
than the management node.
We copied the operating system CDs using the following command:
# copycds InstallPkgArchitecture=ppc64
We copied the CSM software and prerequisites for the BladeCenter JS20 cluster
nodes using this command:
# copycsmpkgs -p /tmp/csm_js20:/tmp/csmpreq InstallPkgArchitecture=ppc64
The copycsmpkgs command prompts you to insert operating system CDs if it
cannot find the operating system packages that it needs in one of the directories
listed after the -p option.
Accepting the CSM licence
Accept the CSM licence. If you want to use a 60-day trial licence, use the
following command:
# csmconfig -L
If you want to accept the permanent license, mount the CSM product CD and run
the following command:
# csmconfig -L /media/cdrom/csmlum.full
