Use the flood loads from Example 8.3:<br />

• F dyn = 909 lb<br />

• F brkp = 625 lb<br />

• F i = 2,440 lb<br />

• d s = 4.6 ft<br />

Use for wind loads:<br />

• Roof span = 28 ft<br />

• Roof pitch = 7:12<br />

• Wall height = 10 ft<br />

• Wind uplift load = 33,913 lb (pre-factored with 0.6)<br />

• Exposure Category D (multiply Exposure C wind loads by 1.18 at 33 ft mean roof height)<br />

• 1.18 is a conservative value because while the higher Exposure Category D has been<br />

factored, the lower roof height (24 ft versus 33 ft) has not. Refer to ASCE 7-10,<br />

Figure 28.6-1 for guidance.<br />
