generates again a Will to live in <strong>the</strong> Meekness; and <strong>the</strong> Originality<br />
e Essentia, Proceeding Virtue.<br />
f Property, or Activity.<br />
g Flowing or Working.<br />
h Than <strong>the</strong> eternal Property <strong>of</strong> Hell.<br />
i Grim Sternness.<br />
<strong>of</strong> this Will arises out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> first Will, out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> anguishing<br />
Mind, out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> dark Sourness, which in <strong>the</strong> Stirring makes<br />
a breaking Wheel; where <strong>the</strong> recomprehended Will discovers<br />
itself in <strong>the</strong> breaking Wheel in <strong>the</strong> great Anxiety, in <strong>the</strong> eternal<br />
Mind, where somewhat [must] be which stood in <strong>the</strong> Meekness.<br />
And this Appearing [or Discovery] in <strong>the</strong> anxious breaking<br />
Wheel, is a Flash <strong>of</strong> a great Swiftness, which <strong>the</strong> Anguish<br />
sharpens thus in <strong>the</strong> Sourness, so that <strong>the</strong> Sharpness <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Flash<br />
is consuming, and that is <strong>the</strong> Fireflash, as it is to be seen in<br />
Nature, when one k hard Substance strikes against ano<strong>the</strong>r, how it<br />
[grinds or] sharpens itself, and generates a Flash <strong>of</strong> Fire, which<br />
was not before. And <strong>the</strong> recomprehended Mind l comprehends<br />
<strong>the</strong> Flash, and discovers itself now in <strong>the</strong> Sourness; and <strong>the</strong> Flash<br />
with its strong [or fierce] Sharpness consumes <strong>the</strong> comprehended<br />
Sourness, which holds it, [viz. <strong>the</strong> Will in <strong>the</strong> Mind] captive in<br />
<strong>the</strong> Darkness; and now it is free from <strong>the</strong> Darkness.<br />
66. Thus <strong>the</strong> Sourness receives <strong>the</strong> Flash, and goes in <strong>the</strong> Terror<br />
[Shriek or Crack] backwards, as it were overcome, and from<br />
<strong>the</strong> Terror [Shriek or Crack] becomes s<strong>of</strong>t; in which Meekness<br />
<strong>the</strong> Flash discovers itself, as in its own Mo<strong>the</strong>r. And from <strong>the</strong><br />
Meekness it becomes m white and clear: And in <strong>the</strong> Flash <strong>the</strong>re is<br />
great Joy, that <strong>the</strong> Will <strong>the</strong>rein is delivered from <strong>the</strong> Darkness.<br />
67. Thus now <strong>the</strong> eternal Mind n unites itself in <strong>the</strong> recomprehended<br />
[or reconceived] Will, in [or unto] <strong>the</strong> Meekness <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
Deliverance out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Darkness <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Anxiety; and <strong>the</strong> Sharpness<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Consuming <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> eternal Darkness stays in <strong>the</strong> Flash<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Meekness; and <strong>the</strong> Flash o discovers itself in <strong>the</strong> anxious<br />
Mind in many thousand Thousands, yea, p without End and Number.<br />
And in that Discovery, <strong>the</strong> Will and <strong>the</strong> Inclination [or<br />
yielding up itself, discover <strong>the</strong>mselves] always again in a great<br />
Desire to go forth out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Darkness; where <strong>the</strong>n in every Will<br />
<strong>the</strong> Flash stands again to [make an] Opening, which I call <strong>the</strong><br />
Centrum [<strong>the</strong> Center] in my Writings all over this Book.<br />
68. Thus <strong>the</strong>n <strong>the</strong> first Longing, and Desiring (viz. <strong>the</strong> fierce<br />
[or stern] generating in <strong>the</strong> first Will) with <strong>the</strong> dark Mind, continues<br />
q in itself, and [has] <strong>the</strong>rein <strong>the</strong> Discovering <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> everenduring<br />
Fireflash in <strong>the</strong> dark Mind; and <strong>the</strong> same dark Mind<br />
stands eternally in Anguish, and in <strong>the</strong> Flash, in <strong>the</strong> Breaking,<br />
Attracting, Rising up, and Desiring without Intermission [to be]<br />
