Seed is sown; and that Tincture which <strong>the</strong>re gets <strong>the</strong> upperhand<br />

<strong>the</strong> Man is figured. And <strong>the</strong> Figuring [or Shaping] is done<br />
very suddenly in <strong>the</strong> Storm <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> anguishing Terror, where <strong>the</strong><br />
Blood is stifled [or stopt;] and <strong>the</strong>re <strong>the</strong> elementary Man gets<br />
up, and <strong>the</strong> heavenly [Man] goes down. For in <strong>the</strong> Terror, <strong>the</strong><br />

55. Women have sufficient Experience <strong>of</strong> this, in <strong>the</strong> third<br />
Month, (when this is done in <strong>the</strong> Fruit,) [and feel] how <strong>the</strong><br />
Raging and Pricking comes into <strong>the</strong>ir Teeth, Loins, Back, and<br />
<strong>the</strong> like. This comes upon <strong>the</strong>m from <strong>the</strong> stifled, [choaked, or<br />
stopped] Tincture in <strong>the</strong> Fruit, and from <strong>the</strong>ir stifled [or<br />
stopped] Blood in <strong>the</strong> Matrix, because <strong>the</strong> evil Tincture qualifies<br />
[or mingles] with <strong>the</strong> good [Tincture] <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir Bodies. Therefore<br />
in <strong>the</strong> same Manner as <strong>the</strong> Tincture in <strong>the</strong> Matrix suffers<br />
Pain, after <strong>the</strong> same Manner also <strong>the</strong> good [Tincture suffers in<br />
<strong>the</strong> Members [Limbs or Parts] <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Mo<strong>the</strong>r, as in <strong>the</strong> hard<br />

56. So now when <strong>the</strong> bitter Sting [or Prickle,] (which is generated<br />
in <strong>the</strong> anxious Terror in <strong>the</strong> Stifling [or Stopping,] and<br />
in <strong>the</strong> Entering in <strong>of</strong> Death,) does thus rage and rave, and show<br />
forth itself in <strong>the</strong> Terror, and flies upwards, <strong>the</strong>n it is caught<br />
and withheld by <strong>the</strong> [sour] Harshness, so that it cannot get up<br />
al<strong>of</strong>t. For <strong>the</strong> [sour] Harshness draws it continually <strong>the</strong> more<br />
eagerly and vehemently, because <strong>of</strong> l its Raging, and cannot endure<br />
it, from whence <strong>the</strong> Pricking <strong>of</strong>ten becomes more terrible,<br />
and this is after no o<strong>the</strong>r Manner, than as when a Man is dying,<br />
and Soul and Body part asunder; for in <strong>the</strong> Stifling [or Stopping]<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Blood by <strong>the</strong> [sour] Harshness, <strong>the</strong> bitter Death is<br />
also <strong>the</strong>re; and <strong>the</strong>refore m it is like a furious whirling Wheel,<br />
or swift horrible Thought, which worries and vexes itself: And<br />
here is a BrimstoneSpirit, a venomous [poisonous] horrible<br />
aching Substance in <strong>the</strong> Death; for it is <strong>the</strong> Worm to <strong>the</strong> Springing<br />
up <strong>of</strong> Life.<br />
57. And now when <strong>the</strong> Spirit <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Stars and Elements has<br />
