11 . And that <strong>the</strong>re should go nothing in Vain out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Substance<br />
<strong>of</strong> God, <strong>the</strong>refore God created Beasts, Fowls, Fishes,<br />
Worms, Trees and Herbs out <strong>of</strong> all <strong>Essence</strong>s; and besides<br />
[created] also figured Spirits out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Quinta Essentia, in <strong>the</strong><br />
Elements, that so, after <strong>the</strong> completing <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Time (when <strong>the</strong><br />
OutBirth [shall] go into <strong>the</strong> E<strong>the</strong>r) <strong>the</strong>y should appear before<br />
him, and that his eternal Wisdom in his Works <strong>of</strong> Wonder might<br />
he known.<br />
12. But seeing it was his Will also in this Throne, in <strong>the</strong><br />
eternal Element, to have Creatures that should be instead <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
m The one pure Element.<br />
n Kindness.<br />
o The eternal one Element.<br />
fallen Devils, and possess <strong>the</strong> Place [<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m] in <strong>the</strong> Heaven in<br />
Paradise, <strong>the</strong>refore he created Man out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> o Element.<br />
13. And as this Place was now tw<strong>of</strong>old, and p with <strong>the</strong> eternal<br />
Originality threefold, viz. [having] <strong>the</strong> first Principle in <strong>the</strong><br />
great Anxiety, and <strong>the</strong> second Principle in <strong>the</strong> divine Habitation<br />
in Paradise, and <strong>the</strong>n <strong>the</strong> third Principle in <strong>the</strong> Light <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
Sun, in <strong>the</strong> Quality <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Stars and Elements, so must Man<br />
also be created out <strong>of</strong> all three, if he must be an Angel in this<br />
Place, and receive all Knowledge and Understanding, whereby<br />
he might have eternal Joy also with [or in] <strong>the</strong> Figures and<br />
Images, which stand not in <strong>the</strong> eternal Spirit, but in <strong>the</strong> eternal<br />
Figure, as all Things in this World are [to do.]<br />
14. And <strong>the</strong>re God manifests himself according to his eternal<br />
Will, in his eternal Wisdom <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> noble Virgin, in <strong>the</strong> Element,<br />
which in Paradise stands in <strong>the</strong> Sharpness <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> divine Virtue<br />
[or Power.] And <strong>the</strong> Fiat created Man out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Element in<br />
Paradise, for it attracted to it out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Quintessence <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Sun,<br />
Stars, and Elements in Paradise in <strong>the</strong> Elements <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Originality,<br />
from whence <strong>the</strong> four Elements proceed, and created Man<br />
to <strong>the</strong> Image <strong>of</strong> God (that is, to <strong>the</strong> Similitude <strong>of</strong> God) and<br />
brea<strong>the</strong>d into him into <strong>the</strong> Element <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Body (which yet was<br />
nothing else but paradisical Virtue) <strong>the</strong> Spirit <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> eternal<br />
<strong>Essence</strong>s out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> eternal Originality; and <strong>the</strong>re Man became<br />
a living Soul, and an Image <strong>of</strong> God in Paradise.<br />
15. And <strong>the</strong> Wisdom <strong>of</strong> God, <strong>the</strong> pleasant Virgin, q discovered<br />
herself in him, and with <strong>the</strong> Discovering opened Adam’s Center,<br />
in [or to] many thousand Thousands, which should proceed out<br />
<strong>of</strong> this Fountain <strong>of</strong> this Image; and <strong>the</strong> noble Virgin <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
Wisdom and Virtue [or Power] <strong>of</strong> God, was espoused [or contracted]<br />
to him, that he should be modest and wholly chaste to<br />
his Virgin, and let no Desire in <strong>the</strong> first, nor in <strong>the</strong> third <strong>Principles</strong>,<br />
