Check the box <strong>in</strong> front of the career you’re <strong>in</strong>vestigat<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

❑ Automobile Mechanic<br />

❑ Chef<br />

❑ Computer Programmer<br />

❑ Dental Hygienist<br />

❑ Paralegal<br />

❑ Paramedic<br />

❑ Interior designer<br />

❑ Truck Driver<br />

Then use <strong>College</strong>In<strong>Colorado</strong>.org to identify and learn about two schools that offer<br />

tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> that program:<br />

1) Go to <strong>College</strong>In<strong>Colorado</strong>.org (www.college<strong>in</strong>colorado.org) and search for the<br />

career you selected by click<strong>in</strong>g the Career Plann<strong>in</strong>g tab and then the Explore<br />

Careers section. Type the career name <strong>in</strong>to the Search for box and click Go!<br />

2) Click What to Learn and read the third section, titled “Education Level”. Is apprenticeship<br />

a path for this career?<br />

❑ Yes ❑ No<br />

3) Click the most appropriate category under “Beyond High School,” then click on<br />

a program. Click the Schools Offer<strong>in</strong>g This Program tab. Select Certificate<br />

Program or Associate Degree (you may need to try both). Then click Go. Write<br />

down two schools that offer the program. (If no schools appear on the list, you<br />

may need to go back to the “What to Learn” page of the career profile and select<br />

another program listed under “Beyond High School”.) Include only two-year<br />

and Career & Tech programs on the chart on Student Handbook page 138.<br />

4) Visit the websites for each school and record the <strong>in</strong>formation you can f<strong>in</strong>d. If you<br />

cannot f<strong>in</strong>d the <strong>in</strong>formation, write a question mark on the chart (Student Handbook<br />

page 138).<br />

5) When you’re done, return to the <strong>College</strong>In<strong>Colorado</strong>.org site for that career and<br />

click Other Resources. On the back of this page, write the names of at least two<br />

resources you could contact for more <strong>in</strong>formation.<br />
