Grade 11, Tak<strong>in</strong>g Tests 3: SAT Registration<br />

Mail-<strong>in</strong> students should expect to receive their paper admission tickets no later than 2<br />

weeks before the test. Admission tickets will also be available to all students onl<strong>in</strong>e, no<br />

matter how you registered. Further <strong>in</strong>formation about lost or miss<strong>in</strong>g tickets, and how to<br />

make changes to your registration <strong>in</strong>formation, can be found on the SAT website or by<br />

call<strong>in</strong>g (866) 756-7346.<br />

For those of you mail<strong>in</strong>g your packets from home, make sure you check the registration<br />

deadl<strong>in</strong>e and send the packet at least a week <strong>in</strong> advance of that date.<br />

III. Test Day the Right Way (5 m<strong>in</strong>utes)<br />

1. SAY SOMETHING LIKE: All right, good work! Put your registration materials <strong>in</strong> a safe<br />

place to take home. Then, turn to Student Handbook page 25, Test Day the Right<br />

Way. It is a list of test-day suggestions. Let’s read through them together.<br />

[Call on students to read each suggestion aloud, if there is time. If not, suggest they<br />

read this on their own.]<br />

V. Wrap Up: Look<strong>in</strong>g Ahead (5 m<strong>in</strong>utes)<br />

1. SAY SOMETHING LIKE: Congratulations to you all! You are now registered, or close to<br />

be<strong>in</strong>g registered, for the SAT <strong>College</strong> Entrance Exam. You are on the right path toward<br />

plann<strong>in</strong>g your future, and tak<strong>in</strong>g a big step toward reach<strong>in</strong>g your goals.<br />

Here are some last m<strong>in</strong>ute th<strong>in</strong>gs to remember:<br />

• If you are mail<strong>in</strong>g your registration from home, or complet<strong>in</strong>g your onl<strong>in</strong>e application<br />

at home, do it by the deadl<strong>in</strong>e.<br />

• If you filled out a paper application, look for your ticket <strong>in</strong> the mail. If it doesn’t<br />

arrive two weeks before the test, call the SAT office telephone number which you’ll<br />

f<strong>in</strong>d onl<strong>in</strong>e, or <strong>in</strong> your registration booklet (Contact #: (866) 756-7346).<br />

• Onl<strong>in</strong>e students: log onto the SAT website and f<strong>in</strong>ish the application sections we<br />

skipped.<br />

• Visit the SAT website to take more practice tests.<br />

• Revisit Jasm<strong>in</strong>e’s “To Do” list and start mak<strong>in</strong>g one of your own.<br />
