Section 404 Permit (Dredge and Fill) - Continued<br />
EXEMPTIONS:<br />
Exemptions are limited, assume that a Section 404 permit is required and consult with the<br />
Corp of Engineers.<br />
FEES: n<br />
There is no application filing fee. A fee is charged upon issuance of an individual permit ($10<br />
for non-commercial projects, $100 for commercial/industrial projects). No fee is charged for<br />
general permit authorizations or Letters of Permission.<br />
AVERAGE PROCESSING TIME:<br />
It takes 30-60 days for most general permits and letters of permission. Individual permits<br />
typically require 180 days processing time. Longer processing times may be expected for<br />
complex projects or instances where there are endangered species or cultural resource<br />
concerns.<br />
