BRIEf dESCRIpTIon <strong>of</strong> ThE oRganIzaTIon<br />
The staff <strong>of</strong> the laboratory is made up <strong>of</strong> 6 research workers. The chief <strong>of</strong> the laboratory has more than 20<br />
years <strong>of</strong> scientific service in paediatric cardiology.<br />
Among the recent projects - there is an ongoing investigation <strong>of</strong> the clinical and paraclinical peculiarities<br />
<strong>of</strong> the arterial hypertension <strong>of</strong> adolescents suffering <strong>from</strong> obesity or those that are undernourished.<br />
The study revealed risk factors, dysfunctions <strong>of</strong> the lipidic, glycidic and hormonal metabolism <strong>of</strong> these<br />
patients.<br />
In 2011 we started a project with purpose <strong>of</strong> determining the TNR, leptina, adiponectina, and<br />
polymorphism <strong>of</strong> ECA, AGTR, NOS <strong>of</strong> children with hypertension, those that are obese and overweight.<br />

More than 20 years <strong>of</strong> scientific activity in paediatric cardiology. Participation in national and international<br />
scientific conferences in Russia, Romania, Ukraine, Germany, France, Switzerland, including reports,<br />
articles and presentations. <strong>Research</strong> workers <strong>of</strong> the laboratory are members <strong>of</strong> the European Association<br />
<strong>of</strong> Cardiologists and the Association <strong>of</strong> Paediatrists <strong>of</strong> CIS.<br />
InTERnaTIonal CoopERaTIon ExpERIEnCE<br />
The staff <strong>of</strong> the Laboratory <strong>of</strong> Paediatric Cardiology collaborates actively with colleagues <strong>from</strong> Russia,<br />
Romania and Ukraine, through personnel exchange schemes and through sharing experience on new<br />
methods <strong>of</strong> diagnostics and treatment <strong>of</strong> arterial hypertension <strong>of</strong> children and adolescents.<br />
Additionally, the majority <strong>of</strong> members participate in scientific conferences at national and international<br />
levels.
