BRIEf dESCRIpTIon <strong>of</strong> ThE oRganIzaTIon<br />
It was demonstrated that under the action <strong>of</strong> air saturated with sex pheromones (e.g noctuids <strong>of</strong> Heliothis<br />
armigera, Agrotis segetum and Mamestra brassicae) the females have a significant reduced fertility, and<br />
the number <strong>of</strong> sterile eggs increases. It was proved that the action <strong>of</strong> sex pheromones is extended to all<br />
phases <strong>of</strong> the development <strong>of</strong> pests.<br />
The obtained results demonstrate the possibility <strong>of</strong> a successful use <strong>of</strong> sex pheromones in the elaboration<br />
<strong>of</strong> the males’ disorientation methods with the scope <strong>of</strong> suppressing the population <strong>of</strong> pests even in the<br />
absence <strong>of</strong> breaking <strong>of</strong> sexual connection.<br />
