Virginia, for 10 years, and he
served 6 years on the Art League’s

and the Society for Photographic
Education (SPE). In addition, John

Erik Heitfield: Erik Heitfield is
an amateur photographer living in
Washington, D.C. He has enjoyed
photography all his life, but he
only recently began experimenting
with the use of off-camera flash
and do-it-yourself light modifiers.

Paul Hodgson: I run a successful
wedding and portrait business
in the UK along with my wife,
Nikki Hodgson. While located
in the north of the UK, it’s not
uncommon for us to travel outside
of the UK for commissions. In my
spare time I still take photographs
and have an equal interest in
capture and postproduction.

David House Sr.: David
House Sr. is a photographer in
Lapeer, Michigan. His web page,
www.LapeerPhotography.com,
includes a representation of
his work. His primary focus is
commercial photography and
portraiture. His 25-year journey
into photography has been
largely self-taught, as he knew no
one with any knowledge about
photography in the beginning.
So he read books and magazines,
asked a lot of questions,
experimented, and tried new
things. His nature photography
is the opportunity to get back to
what was his first photographic
love, nature and landscapes.
Because he is comfortable
with lighting and flash in the
studio and on location, he
often uses similar, yet modified,
