Eyeglasses and lighting:
Can they get along?
Eyeglasses have long been a
bane to photographers. The sun
or our flash gets reflected in them
and we lose important facial
detail. We can’t always get rid
of the entire reflection, but it is
worth at least trying to minimize
it. Regardless of whether the light

same tips will help.
The most obvious and easiest solution
to eyeglass glare is to have the
sitter remove the glasses (but you
might have to retouch the marks
from the nose pads). <strong>On</strong>ce in a
while you get lucky and a sitter
will have borrowed frames without
lenses from an optometrist. Either
solution is great but not something

More and more people have
antiglare coating on their glasses

give us white reflections. Those
with the antiglare coating will
give us pink or green. Either way,
we’d like to keep the reflections
to a minimum.
