<strong>Teacher</strong>s could receive up to $4,000, based on what they teach and the number of classes they teach.<br />

Bilingual teachers who are serving in Title 1 positions will receive the $4,000 supplement through the<br />

school’s Title 1, Bilingual, or Special Revenue Funds.<br />

High <strong>School</strong><br />

If a teacher teaches 6 periods in a critical need area – $3,000 annually<br />

If a teacher teaches 5 periods in a critical need area – $2,500 annually<br />

If a teacher teaches 4 periods in a critical need area – $2,000 annually<br />

If a teacher teaches 3 periods in a critical need area – $1,500 annually<br />

If a teacher teaches 2 periods in a critical need area – $1,000 annually<br />

If a teacher teaches 1 period in a critical need area – $500 annually<br />

Middle <strong>School</strong> (6 periods)<br />

If a teacher teaches 6 periods in a critical need area – $3,000 annually<br />

If a teacher teaches 5 periods in a critical need area – $2,500 annually<br />

If a teacher teaches 4 periods in a critical need area – $2,000 annually<br />

If a teacher teaches 3 periods in a critical need area – $1,500 annually<br />

If a teacher teaches 2 periods in a critical need area – 1,000 annually<br />

If a teacher teaches 1 period in a critical need area - $500 annually<br />

Intermediate <strong>School</strong> (6 periods)<br />

If a teacher teaches 6 periods in a critical need area – $3,000 annually<br />

If a teacher teaches 5 periods in a critical need area – $2,500 annually<br />

If a teacher teaches 4 periods in a critical need area – $2,000 annually<br />

If a teacher teaches 3 periods in a critical need area – $1,500 annually<br />

If a teacher teaches 2 periods in a critical need area – $1,000 annually<br />

If a teacher teaches 1 period in a critical need area – $500 annually<br />

Elementary <strong>School</strong> (All day)<br />

Bilingual teachers will receive $4,000 annually.<br />

Critical need supplement will be paid in two payments, ½ of the annual amount in October and ½ in<br />

March of each year.<br />

The teacher will lose the critical need supplement immediately when he/she is no longer teaching in<br />

critical need area or no longer certified to teach in a critical need area. <strong>Teacher</strong>s will not receive the<br />

critical need supplement until all paperwork is complete in the Human Resources Department. If a critical<br />

need teacher is employed after the school year starts, the critical need supplement will be prorated on a<br />

daily basis.<br />

VI. HEALTH EXAMINATION FOR SCHOOL EMPLOYEES<br />

All school employees are required to be free from communicable diseases at all times. A note to<br />

return to work is necessary if a communicable disease is present.<br />

It is recommended that all school employees have a general physical examination annually.<br />

VII. RESIGNATION<br />

Contract personnel choosing to end their employment with the district are required to submit a<br />

written notice of resignation for the coming school year no later than 45 days before the first day of<br />

the coming school year. The Superintendent may appoint administrative supervisors as the<br />

Superintendent’s designee to accept resignations of employees or to dismiss noncontractual<br />

employees.<br />

The Superintendent shall be the designee of the Board of Trustees to receive and accept resignations.<br />

When an employee's resignation becomes effective, the employee shall forfeit all accumulated local<br />

sick leave benefits.<br />
