Foods made available to students through school must comply with federal and state child nutrition<br />
laws and regulations as stated in Section 15, Cafeteria Policies. Refreshments served at school<br />
parties for students must be prepared in health inspected food service establishments such as the<br />
school cafeteria, a bakery, delicatessen, restaurant, etc.<br />
AA. STUDENT TRANSFER<br />
Students transferring from one school to another within the <strong>Aldine</strong> district, will have permanent<br />
records sent to the receiving school.<br />
AB. ENROLLMENT OF STUDENTS<br />
Pre-Kindergarten<br />
To be enrolled in either the <strong>Aldine</strong> ISD Pre-Kindergarten program or the <strong>Aldine</strong> ISD Head Start<br />
program a child must:<br />
1. be four years old on or before September 1 st ;<br />
2. be limited English speaking and/or;<br />
3. meet the required economic guidelines;<br />
4. be homeless, as defined by 42 U.S.C. Section 11302 and/or;<br />
5. be the child/step-child of an active duty member of the US Armed Forces and/or<br />
6. be the child/step-child of a member of the U.S. Armed Forces who was injured or killed while<br />
serving on active duty and/or<br />
7. be or have ever been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective<br />
Services following an adversary hearing under Section 262.01, Family Code.<br />
Enrollment for the Head Start program will be based on greatest need according to a predetermined<br />
criterion. A waiting list will be established when the Head Start program reaches full capacity.<br />
AC. AWARDS<br />
Awards are given to the following students:<br />
1. Those who have missed no days for the school year (perfect attendance); and<br />
2. Additional awards may be given to other outstanding students at the discretion of the<br />
principal.<br />
