CHAPTER 14 Printing and Exporting 244 The Print options... menu command (available from the File menu) lets you choose a default setting for dealing with layouts larger than the printable area. Naturally, Igor supports all of the printer driver’s standard parameters. For example, in a LaserWriter 8 printer driver window, File can be set in the Destination pop-up menu to save a post-script file of your layout. The Collated checkbox can also be used – if checked, this option tells the printer to print one copy of the layout’s total amount of pages at a time, instead of first printing the appropriate number of Page 1 pages, then the Page 2 pages, et cetera.

For more information about this important matter, please turn to “Show/Hide Margins” on page 231. 14.2 Exporting as EPS There is a feature in Igor Engraver for exporting the files to EPS. (EPS – Encapsulated PostScript – is a vector based picture format that lets you zoom in on details without the picture getting distorted.)
