Tablature 1
In the Tablature 1 pane, settings regarding tab may be altered.
The different settings of the Tabulature 1 pane are used in the following manner:
Line spacing:
This textbox determines the height (in spaces) between the tab staff lines.
Automatic fretting:
This textbox determines how much of Igor Engraver’s automatic tablature
mechanism should be used. Simple means that string collisions will be
avoided, while the Smart means that Igor Engraver will also make the tab
as playable as possible. Smart, tight frets means keeping frets as close to
each other as possible while Smart, low frets will attempt to put each
group of frets as close to the zero fret as possible, sometimes at the cost of
a less tight group of frets.
Allow open strings:
The Allow open strings checkbox decides if open strings should be allowed
when the minimum fret number is set higher than 0.
Collapse double stops:
If Collapse double stops is checked, unison notes will be notated as one
note in the tab staff, instead of being notated as two unison notes on two
strings.
