APPENDIX A 338 • The radius specifies how far the centre of the indication should be placed from the centre of the notehead where 0 means “boarding onto”. • The angle specifies the direction, in degrees, from the notehead to the indication where 0 means that the indication is straight to the right of the notehead and 90 means that the indication is straight above the notehead etcetera. • The spacing factor indicates how much horizontal space should be reserved for the indication. 0 means that no space at all will be reserved while 1 means that exactly the horizontal distance between the centre of the notehead and the centre of the indication will be reserved. The reason there is a spacing factor instead of entries in a spacing table is that spacing tables usually contain horizontal values while the placement is based on angles in this case. The different settings of the Guitar 1 pane are used in the following manner: Bendhat line thickness: This textbox determines the thickness of a bendhat in a staff. Bendhat flex height: This textbox determines the height of a bendhat. String circle thickness: This textbox determines the thickness of the string indication circle. String circle berth: This textbox determines the extra space between the string number and the circle surrounding it. String indication angle, etcetera: See above. String indication font: Here, the font and size is set for the string indication number.
