1 The following advertising signs and structures are not permitted:<br />
i) Flashing signs, moving signs, balloon signs, inflatable signs<br />
or the like, or any bunting, flag signs or those made of canvas,<br />
calico, textile or the like;<br />
ii) Signs advertising a third party, activity or trade other than that<br />
associated with the building to which the sign is attached;<br />
iii) Advertising structures of a portable nature such as sandwich<br />
boards, A-frames or the like;<br />
iv) Hoarding signs, painted bulletins or advertisements in the nature<br />
of posters (except newsagents headlines) or stickers affixed to<br />
the exterior of the building;<br />
v) Signage above awning level, except for building identification<br />
signs;<br />
vi) Signage affixed to or attached to telephone booths, trees, poles,<br />
signs, shelters, sheds, bins and the like;<br />
vii) Fluorescent colours on signs or buildings;<br />
viii) Sky, roof or fin signs;<br />
ix) Internally and externally illuminated signs, other than those<br />
permitted under 10.4 of this Part (except where internally lit signs<br />
do not cause any spillage of light onto neighbou<strong>ring</strong> properties or<br />
can be proven not cause any detraction from the amenity of the<br />
locality);<br />
x) Signs on stationary vehicles used principally for the purpose of<br />
advertising; and<br />
xi) Freestanding signs/pole signs (except service stations)<br />
Note: For the purposes of this part, furnishing means furniture, appliances,<br />
and other moveable articles in an outdoor dining area, but excludes planter<br />
boxes, utensils, dining sets and the like.<br />
