Objectives<br />
1 To ensure that new<br />
development supports<br />
the desired character of<br />
the area with appropriate<br />
massing and spaces<br />
between buildings.<br />
Controls<br />
1 On large sites where there are a number of buildings, the minimum<br />
separation between buildings is to be 10m.<br />
2 To ensure building<br />
configuration protects<br />
and enhances visual<br />
and acoustic privacy for<br />
occupants.<br />
3 To provide a building form<br />
and layout that minimises<br />
overshadowing of adjacent<br />
properties and open<br />
space.<br />
4 To provide building<br />
configurations that<br />
facilitate the provision of<br />
communal open space,<br />
landscaping and view<br />
corridors.<br />
