7.11 BOP CONTROL UNIT: [As per API Spec. 16D with API monogram] for<br />

each rig:<br />

One 20 gallon capacity BOP control unit with remote panel and accessories.<br />

Accumulator: 4 nos. of 5 gal capacity bladder type accumulators BOP<br />

control unit shall be complete with electrical and air operated pressurizing<br />

system, with auto pressure switch for both, capable of pressurizing up to<br />

3000 psi. BOP remote control panel with visual display to be placed near to<br />

the driller console. All electrical items should be suitable for hazardous<br />

area, zone-1 gas group IIA & IIB.<br />

NOTE: All wellhead equipment/ BOP/ BOP control unit should be pressure<br />

tested and certified as per API recommended practice.<br />

7.12 SAFETY DEVICES (for each rig):<br />

(a) Fall Protection Device: An anti-fall coupled with safety harness/<br />

belt shall be provided for personnel working on mast while exposed to<br />

a fall of 3 meters or greater or climbing unprotected vertical ladder<br />

with same exposure.<br />

Top man’s Escape Line & Device: For evacuation of Top Man from<br />

racking platform level in case of emergency. Escape device should<br />

have a seat and a spring actuated cam brake.<br />

Portable Gas Detectors: A portable DGMS approved gas detector<br />

capable of determining/ monitoring level of combustible gases in air<br />

should be made available at site. (Bidder should confirm to provide<br />

DGMS approved Gas Detectors in their offer. However, DGMS<br />

approval must be submitted before commencement of operation.)<br />

NOTE: All safety equipments are to be in prime working condition.<br />

7.13 General Statutory requirements for SAFETY NORMS:<br />

a. All the moving / rotating parts like belts, couplings, drive lines etc.,<br />

of the equipment should be well guarded and painted with red color.<br />

b. SRV of the pumps and air reservoir tanks should be tested regularly<br />

and records of such testing should be kept available all the times.<br />

c. Proper color codes as per safety norms should be applied on the high<br />

pressure lines, gas lines and water lines.<br />

d. Anchoring and grouting of the delivery & bleed lines of the pumps<br />

should be done before running the pump.<br />

NOTE: Any other item/ assembly not incorporated above and needed<br />

for meeting the scope of work in the tender should be provided by the<br />

Contractor.
