and ma<strong>in</strong>ta<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g an abst<strong>in</strong>ent lifestyle and to serve youth whose normal adolescent<br />

development, <strong>in</strong> one or more major life areas, has been impaired as a result <strong>of</strong> the use <strong>of</strong><br />

alcohol and/or other substances by a parent or significant other.<br />

Units <strong>of</strong> Service:<br />

Visit 30 m<strong>in</strong>utes-less than two hours: A period <strong>of</strong> scheduled participation by a client which<br />

<strong>in</strong>cludes the receipt <strong>of</strong> one or more types <strong>of</strong> treatment services for at least 30 m<strong>in</strong>utes but<br />

less than two hours <strong>in</strong> duration.<br />

Visit two hours-less than four hours: A period <strong>of</strong> scheduled participation by a client which<br />

<strong>in</strong>cludes the receipt <strong>of</strong> one or more types <strong>of</strong> treatment services for at least two hours but less<br />

than four hours <strong>in</strong> duration.<br />

Visit <strong>of</strong> four or more hours: A period <strong>of</strong> scheduled participation by a client which <strong>in</strong>cludes<br />

the receipt <strong>of</strong> one or more types <strong>of</strong> treatment services for at least four hours <strong>in</strong> duration.<br />

Off-Premises Treatment Visits: A period <strong>of</strong> direct evaluation, therapy or counsel<strong>in</strong>g<br />

provided by an ambulatory alcoholism treatment program to a client <strong>in</strong> his or her home or<br />

convenient place thereto when the client is temporarily or <strong>in</strong>termittently unable to be served<br />

at the alcoholism treatment program premises. Visits should extend at least 30 m<strong>in</strong>utes.<br />

Socialization/Recreation Visit: A period <strong>of</strong> attendance <strong>in</strong> an alcoholism program or on the<br />

premises there<strong>of</strong> dur<strong>in</strong>g which only companionship, social activity, recreation or a<br />

comb<strong>in</strong>ation there<strong>of</strong> is received by the client.<br />

0465 - Job Placement Initiative<br />

Vocational rehabilitation focus<strong>in</strong>g on job referrals and placement.<br />

0507 - Underage Dr<strong>in</strong>k<strong>in</strong>g Prevention<br />

Activities designed to decrease underage dr<strong>in</strong>k<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

0605 - Methadone-to-Abst<strong>in</strong>ence – Outpatient<br />

Methadone treatment delivered on an ambulatory basis <strong>in</strong> gradually decreas<strong>in</strong>g doses to the<br />

po<strong>in</strong>t <strong>of</strong> abst<strong>in</strong>ence, followed by cont<strong>in</strong>ued drug-free treatment.<br />
