tarihlerinde Ankara Bilkent
Otel’de düzenlendi.
KÜNİB’in Ankara’da düzenlediği 4. Olağan
Kongresi’nin bu yılki teması “Kafkasya’nın
Geleceğinde Enerjinin Rolü: Bölge Ülkeleri
Dayanışması” oldu. Kongrede,
“Küreselleşen Dünyada Enerjinin Rolü:
Kafkasya Örneği” başlıklı bir konferans veren
Enerji ve Tabii Kaynaklar Bakanı Taner Yıldız,
dünyadaki enerji üretim ve tüketim oranlarını ve
bu bağlamda Türkiye’nin durumunu değerlendirdi.
Yıldız, Türkiye’nin doğusunda dünya
enerji kaynaklarının %65’inin, batısında ise tüketim
kaynaklarının %65’inin bulunduğunu söyleyerek,
Türkiye’nin enerji politikalarında
Kafkasya’nın önemli bir yeri olduğunu dile getirdi.
Kongreye konuşmacı olarak katılan HASEN
Genel Sekreteri Haldun Yavaş ise Azerbaycan ve
Türkiye liderliğinde başlayan TANAP projesinin
bir barış projesi olduğunu, Gürcistan’ın güvenilir
bir transit güç olarak dâhil olduğu TANAP’ın
bölgenin teminatı olan projelerin en başında geldiğini
ifade etti. Program kapsamında KÜNİB’e
yeni katılan üniversite rektörleri “KÜNİB
Protokolü”nü imzaladı.

KÜNİB was held in Ankara

Communities, Caspian
Strategy Institute.
This year’s theme for the 4 th Ordinary
Congress of KÜNİB was “Energy’s Role in
the Future of Caucasia: Solidarity between
the Countries in the Region”. In his speech
on the “Energy’s Role in the Globalizing World:
the Case of Caucasia”, Minister of Energy and
Natural Resources Taner Yıldız evaluated the
rates of energy generation and consumption in
the world, and Turkey’s status in this context.
Stating that 65% of the world’s energy resources
is located in the east of Turkey, and 65% of energy
consumption occurs in the west of Turkey,
Mr. Yıldız expressed that Caucasia has a key role
in the energy policies of Turkey. Participating in
the congress as a speaker, Secretary General of
Caspian Strategy Institute Haldun Yavaş stated
that the TANAP Project, which was launched
under the leadership of Azerbaijan and Turkey,
is a project of peace. Mr. Yavaş also highlighted
that TANAP Project in which Georgia got
involved as a reliable transit power is the leading
project amongst others, serving as a guarantee
for the region. University presidents who recently
became a part of KÜNİB signed the “KÜNİB
Protocol” within the scope of the program.
