ÜÇLÜ ZİRVE / TRILATERAL SUMMIT
GÜL: RÜYA DENİLEN PROJELER GERÇEKLEŞİYOR
Cumhurbaşkanı Abdullah Gül ise basın toplantısındaki
sözlerine, Güney Kafkasya konusunda
ortak bir vizyonu paylaşan üç ülkenin
cumhurbaşkanları olarak bir araya geldiklerini
ve işbirliğinin tüm yönlerini ayrıntılı şekilde
gözden geçirdiklerini belirterek başladı.
Türkiye’nin Gürcistan ve Azerbaycan ile ikili
ilişkilerinin çok ileri seviyede olduğuna işaret
eden Gül, Gürcistan ile ticaret hacminin 1
buçuk milyar dolara, ülkedeki Türk yatırımının
ise 1 milyar dolara ulaştığını kaydetti.
Türkiye-Azerbaycan ikili ilişkisinin ise çok
daha özel boyutları bulunduğuna dikkati
çeken Gül, ekonomik alanda iki ülke arasındaki
yatırımların 5 buçuk milyar dolar olduğunu
vurguladı.
Türkiye, Azerbaycan ve Gürcistan arasındaki
coğrafi beraberliğin Güney Kafkaslar’da çok
büyük bir cazibe merkezi oluşturduğunu ifade
eden Cumhurbaşkanı Abdullah Gül, Bakü-
Tiflis-Ceyhan, Bakü-Tiflis-Erzurum ve Bakü-
Tiflis-Kars projelerini bütün dünyanın takdirle
izlediğini kaydetti.
Gül, “Bu projeler vaktiyle ‘gerçekleşmesi zor’
hatta bazılarının ‘rüya’ dediği projelerdir.
Bunların ilk ikisi gerçekleşmiş; üçüncüsü,
demiryolu projesi de gerçekleşmek üzeredir”
dedi. Trans Anadolu Doğal Gaz Boru Hattı
(TANAP) projesinin de bir enerji projesi olarak
bölgenin önemini ortaya koyduğunu kaydeden
Gül, “Bizim bütün arzumuz, tüm bu projelerle
bölgedeki refahı, ekonomik gelişmeyi artırmaktır”
değerlendirmesinde bulundu.

launched last year in Baku, Aliyev said “Shah
Deniz II, Trans Anatolian and Trans Adriatic
gas pipelines are among the most important
energy projects of Europe. These projects
will ensure the energy security of Europe
and create new areas of employment and
investment. Foreign investment level will
increase in each country. All our initiatives
are based upon the will of our people and a
strong political will. We build our relations
on this foundation and enrich our cooperation
with projects. The collaboration that we
have demonstrated today, in this place, presents
a universal significance in the eyes of
the world media.”
Mr. Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan,
expressed that the actual result of the meeting
is the consolidation of the relations based
upon friendship and fraternity.
GUL: DREAM-PROJECTS ARE BEING
REALIZED
President Abdullah Gul started his speech
by saying that they convened as the presidents
of three countries sharing the same
vision about the Southern Caucasia and they
thoroughly reviewed all aspects of the cooperation.
Emphasizing Turkey’s improved bilateral
relations with Georgia and Azerbaijan,
President Gul stated that the trade volume
with Georgia reached 1.5 billion dollars and
Turkey’s investments in the country
increased to 1 billion dollars. Underlining the
special status of Turkey-Azerbaijan bilateral
relations, Gul emphasized that economic
investment between the two countries is 5.5
billion dollars.
Having expressed that geographical solidarity
among Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia
has created a great centre of attraction,
President Abdullah Gul stated that the entire
world appreciates Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan,
Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum and Baku-Tbilisi-Kars
projects.
Gul said, “Previously these projects were
described as ‘difficult to realize’ and they
were even regarded as only a ‘dream’ by
some people. The first two have been realized;
and the third, the railway project is
about to be completed.” Noting that Trans
Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP) project, as
an energy project, demonstrates the importance
of the region, President Gul said,
“With all these projects, our only wish is to
enhance peace and economic development in
the region.”
