Setting Up Read and Print
The optional Read and Print feature allows the CS410 controller to accept
data from a camera or barcode scanner, and to use that data to locate
and print the corresponding document from a job file. Operation of this
feature depends on the conditions that follow.
• Use of a camera system or barcode reader that gives carriage-return,
line-feed delimited strings through a serial connection
• Presence of a correctly configured feature key
• Data that has been developed for Read and Print by the use of data
prep software that supports Read and Print
• IJPDS or MPC data format
• Data supplied from a hard drive
• Disabling of real-time antivirus checking software
• Printing speed and distance between the reader and printhead(s) that
allow time to read the barcode, access the print data on the hard disk,
and send the data to the printhead(s)
Note: Linked files (files that contain parts of the same job) are not supported.
Also, job spooling cannot be used for Read and Print jobs.
