Insert the carrier lift handle (Figure 109) into the carrier lift mechanism (Figure 108). 21. Push up on the carrier lift handle to release the printhead. DO NOT USE EXCESSIVE FORCE. Note: The printhead is released when the lift handle can no longer be moved. Replace and Packing Removing the Printhead 22. Slide the printhead out (A) and grasp the other end (B) to remove the printhead from the PIC box (Figure 110). Refer to “Packing the Printhead” on page 280. Figure 110 Printhead coming out of PIC box A B ! WARNING Do not drop the printhead on your foot, it can cause physical injury. Caution: Do not touch the printhead botton. Damage to the printhead can occur. Caution: Do not carry or handle the printhead by the printed circuit breaker (PCB) located on the top of the printhead, it is not a handle and can break and cause damage to the printhead. 23.
