Rewind Unit<br />

External Power and Air Connections.<br />

To reset an emergency stop, pull the button back out. Refer to<br />

“Recovering From an Emergency Stop” on page 180 in Chapter 2 for<br />

more information.<br />

Air injection coupling<br />

Located on the GS of the unit, is used to inflate the bladder in the<br />

rewind shaft, which keeps the rolls from spinning.<br />

Drive belt<br />

The drive belt uses a drive roller to spin the roll.<br />

Drag bar<br />

A stationary bar that includes a tension sensor to assist in detecting<br />

loose web and tight web conditions.<br />

Idle guide feed roller<br />

A stationary roller that feeds web to the drag bar.<br />

Dancer Roller<br />

A roller on a slide that permits it to take up or release the web. The<br />

position of the dancer roller signals the unwind to increase or<br />

decrease web speed. If the dancer roller moves too high, a web break<br />

is reported, and the transport stops.<br />

Located near the bottom of the unit on the GS, at the paper inlet end of<br />

the unit. (Figure 23.)<br />
