listings. Also they have the intensity of persuasiveness of metadata presented in the
search result by creating first impressions about respective Web sites.
As can be traced from Table 1, merely seven domain names for Asia (12%),
namely Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Georgia, Turkmenistan, South and North
Cyprus are excellent. In the same vein, five domain names out of 45 European
countries (11,1%) are ranked as excellent, and these countries are France, Hungary,
Netherlands, Russia and Slovakia. Good domain names dominate both continents:
33% of Asian and 60% of European countries’ domain names are ranked good.
Regarding the poor and very poor domain names, European countries are better
than the Asian countries. Since, 33% of Asian countries are ranked as poor and very
poor, this rate drops to 20% for the European countries. Also, an examination regarding
to the constitutive and formative properties of the selected domains is given
below in Table 1.
