For Lilian and the Indigos - Above Top Secret

So the contest started… Daddy Bird flew up and down the beach and caught a worm
here, a worm there, and brought them all to a scale where the weight of the worms was
measured.
The other animals tried but did not really know how to catch worms that were under
water half the time and above water half the time. The waves were confusing them and
they just didn’t have the proper view or speed. Only because Daddy Bird hunted at night
and watched the FISH, only because Daddy Bird broke the rules and did what made him
happy, did he do so well. And, yes, he won the contest – Mama Bird cheered and Daddy
Bird proudly spread his wings in front of all the creatures and said, “I will serve you and
feed you, even though you told me I was wrong and bad not long ago.”
From that day on, Daddy Bird did just that. All the forest creatures were in awe of his
weird way of flying. It was weird but it worked. Little Chick was home and chirpy as
ever. She had grand adventures in the city, and she had grown up. Little Chick was
proud of her daddy too. He was always happy now and was never mean to her for being
chirpy. He loved Little Chick’s chirps and loved Mama Bird for always believing in him
and letting him hunt worms and watch the FISH at night, even though it was against the
rules. Soon he taught Little Chick the secrets of the FISH so she could always be fed and
fly high.
They lived happily ever after.
