The pet leans into the brush of the Robo-Groomer activating a high torque, low RPM
motor which spins the brush. This is the interactive part. An animal psychiatrist might
agree that this modicum of control, this simple cause and effect, this independence,
would empower an animal, increasing its sense of self-worth, and adding to the overall
functionality of the pack/pride.
From a marketing standpoint the same device can groom cats and dogs. One product, two
markets. Sold separately, brushes of greater and lesser stiffness could be offered? A large
and small version can be sold as well.
NOTE: The Robo-Groomer will sense from which direction the pet is passing and rotate
in the correct direction – with the fur. The motor/gear/groomer assembly will mount on a
hinge allowing it to move left and right slightly, thus closing a contact switch which
rotates groomer in said proper direction.
