JUNGIAN GNOSTICISM There was one point back in the day that I called myself "GNOSTIC." At the time it appealed to me because I was (and still am) understanding scripture and other communications as more than exoteric. I didn't know the history of Gnosticism, just that the orthodox folks hated it, which is reason enough to jump aboard, but since then I've realized that even esoteric knowledge is subject to stupid dogma. Further, Gnostics tend to dismiss the literal interpretation of things as easily as the orthodox dismisses the esoteric, so screw those new-age know-italls. I recently started reading Man and His Symbols by Dr. Carl Jung and his colleagues. I had no idea that Jung was all about dream interpretation, but now that I'm reading it, I realize that his take on psychology, symbology, myth and the unconscious is the PUREST form of gnosticism. Anything less than a Jungian approach to the esoteric amounts to a shotgun, dream dictionary-type understanding. Yes there are archetypes that can generally be interpreted, but really, it’s all about customization to the individual with all his/her personal trips. I know for myself, a prolific dreamer/interpreter, that no dream dictionary can cover my INSANE trips in REMland and the patterns/narratives that have evolved over time. For example, I had a dream this morning that I was in some kind of Hindu temple. I walked out onto a balcony with some other wannabe yogis and felt some spray on my head and back. I turn around and on a higher up balcony there's this monkey pissing on me. It seemed to be some kind of inside joke and/or right-of-passage... WTF? I also just read a book by Sylvia Brown called The Two Marys. I consider her spin on Jesus and Magdela to be entertaining and plausible but no more or less reliable than the story that's been accepted (No, I've yet to have a past life regression to confirm anything). Sylvia calls herself a Gnostic...but oddly, she shits on the entire Book of Revelation. I tried to find out why exactly but only came across Christians shitting on her whole trip. It’s interesting because Revelation is a big meaty chunk of esoterica that can be interpreted on at least three levels, all being valid. I, of course, am the first and only person to interpret it properly as I'm the one fulfilling it. Previous Gnostics, heck even Hal Lindsey, had no knowledge of HAARP, www, Free Energy, Nibiru as a rogue planet etc...
So my coining of the term, "Jungian Gnosticism" is my attempt at saying its OK to believe only what you want, what is subjectively true. Christians can claim that prophets no longer exist, particularly if they are not "christian," and anyone with discernment can weigh the stuff Sylvia or any other psychic or channeler puts forth... But keep in mind, The Collective Unconscious is also your unconscious... The Akashic Records are pure and true and don't have an agenda. If you have a prophetic dream you are a prophet. If you study like Jung did and approach dreams as Jung did you will never need a religion outside yourself.
