On behalf of metaphysicists, mystics and new age, woo woo crackpots everywhere, I’d
like to respond to the following written by the publisher of Skeptic.

The dualist belief that body and soul are separate entities is natural, intuitive and
with us from infancy. It is also very probably wrong…
Firstly, when a skeptic tries to denounce the unknown (as if credible scientists don’t work
with unknowns), he usually keeps the context of the argument within classical physics
jargon, essentially denying the validity of quantum mechanics and direct experience for
assumed “laws.” This is convenient but deceptive. Secondly, in regards to the article
itself, Mr. Shermer is rephrasing the before/afterlife question within the confines of two
possibilities, monism & dualism. With all this restriction, who needs open-mindedness as
in the possibility of a third?
The response of children to a dead animal or common use of a phrase is hardly
corroborative evidence for any debate; it is arguably less credible than when children
speak of impossible previous experiences and/or display unusual interest or talent, which
strongly supports reincarnation. With the skeptic paradigm, we cannot explain how such
fresh biology could possibly develop that level of complexity and detail if mind is, as a
skeptic would assert, an emergent phenomena of biology.
There is only so much time for the senses to lay down the maps before they can be
associated to do anything useful. However if the maps were to reside in HyperSpace
instead of DNA – outside of linear time and (inertial) mass – then the knowledge already
exists and merely needs to be reverse time modulated or downloaded through the
quantum foam black holes/closed strings, i.e., the logic gates of brane tiles. Learning then
is really remembering; it is what a child is doing when babbling about being killed in a
war or when a five-year old suspected Dalai Lama picks out his Mustang from a pile of
things he’s never seen.
Mr. Shermer and I agree that “my soul is a pattern of information.” We part ways,
however, on where that pattern emerges from and how it is maintained. The field of
“Quantum Biology” has been around for a LONG time. It’s just that the language had to
come full circle as the whole BEYOND EINSTEIN issue suggests. All
Psychic/Paranormal phenomena are either non-linear or non-local. Objective, repeatable
experiments are difficult because not only do we not know what language to ask the right
questions in, the best quantum interface is the brain and only a few freaks know how to
work those phenomena in question consistently – and they are in caves! No scientist
