<strong>Server</strong> Diagnostics<br />
Log<br />
Actual file located in /tomcat/logs/spotfire/serverdiagnostics.log<br />
This log is always enabled and contains diagnostic information collected<br />
during server startup. It shows whether or not the server could be started<br />
successfully and other vital information collected from various parts of<br />
the server. This log is always enabled and unaffected by Log<br />
Configuration File settings.<br />
<strong>Server</strong> Access Log Actual file located in /tomcat/logs/spotfire/<br />
access.log<br />
This log is always enabled and contains all access attempts to the <strong>TIBCO</strong><br />
<strong>Spotfire</strong> <strong>Server</strong>. It shows which user has accessed what files on the server,<br />
when the access took place, and whether or not the access was granted. It<br />
uses standard "W3C common logfile format".<br />
<strong>Server</strong> Usage Log Actual file located in /tomcat/logs/spotfire/<br />
usage.log.<br />
This file is a lighter alternative to the server access log described above as<br />
it does not contain information regarding the file accessed. Apart from<br />
that, the two files contain the same information. This log is always<br />
enabled and unaffected by Log Configuration File settings.<br />
dss-cxf.log This file logs the CXF SOAP tool from Apache.<br />
isusage.log Actual file located in /tomcat/logs/spotfire/<br />
isusage.log.<br />
This log file contains information about what user accesses which<br />
Information Link and when.<br />
library.log Actual file located in /tomcat/logs/spotfire/<br />
library.log.<br />
This log file logs whenever a user stores, opens or deletes a file from the<br />
library.<br />
impex.log This file logs library import and export.<br />
Tomcat StdOut This file cannot be viewed in the UI, you must open the actual log file.<br />
Log<br />
Actual file located in<br />
/tomcat/logs/spotfire/stdout_yyyyMM dd.log,<br />
where yyyyMMdd is replaced by the log file’s creation date.<br />
The Tomcat application server redirects all output to StdOut to this log<br />
file. Note: By default, this log file is not rolled.<br />
Tomcat StdErr Log This file cannot be viewed in the UI, you must open the actual log file.<br />
Actual file located in<br />
/tomcat/logs/spotfire/stderr_yyyyMMdd.log,<br />
where yyyyMMdd is replaced by the log file’s creation date.<br />
The Tomcat application server redirects all output to StdErr to this log<br />
file. Note: By default, this log file is not rolled.<br />
