Authentication and User Directory
Note the quotation marks. Here the arguments spotfireserver-user, computers,
yourdomaincontroller, yourorganization and com reflect a Windows Domain. Your
Windows Domain may look different. If you do have this information, ask your
Windows Domain administrator. You will be prompted for the password. If you
receive the error message
C:\tibco\tss\3.2.2\tomcat\bin\SetComputerPass.vbs(12, 1) Microsoft VBScript runtime
error:
ActiveX component can't create object: 'ScriptPW.Password'
your system is lacking a component required for password prompting. If this happens,
you need to edit the SetComputerPass.vbs script and specify the password here.
Comment out the three lines that read
Set objPassword = CreateObject("ScriptPW.Password")
WScript.StdOut.Write "Password:"
strPassword = objPassword.GetPassword()
by adding a ' character before them, so that they look like this
'Set objPassword = CreateObject("ScriptPW.Password")
'WScript.StdOut.Write "Password:"
'strPassword = objPassword.GetPassword()
and add the following line directly below:
strPassword = “service.account.password”
and replace the string service.account.password with a long and random password.
When you have run the script, you should make a note of the password and remove the
script with the password in it.
Note: You must be a member of the Account Operators in order to run this script
successfully. If you get the error message “Microsoft VBScript runtime error:
Permission denied”, the most likely cause is that you are not.
Enabling NTLM Authentication for Your Cluster in the Configuration Console
In the Configuration Console, select the Authentication Tab and select NTLM v1/v2
as Login Method.
Configuring NTLM
Once you have enabled NTLM in the Configuration Console, you are ready to
configure the settings the Spotfire Servers need to communicate with the Windows
Domain.
If you have only one Spotfire Server, this can be done entirely in the Configuration
Console.
If you have more than one Spotfire Server, you must configure settings on each
Spotfire Server, in order to have a unique configuration for each Spotfire Server. You
