Authentication and User Directory<br />

DNS servers<br />

DNS cache TTL (ms)<br />

Specifies the IP addresses DNS servers associated<br />

with your Windows Domain. Separate multiple servers<br />

with commas.<br />

Example: 192.168.1.1,192.168.1.2<br />

Specifies how long name server lookups should be<br />

cached. If not set, defaults are used.<br />

To configure each <strong>Spotfire</strong> <strong>Server</strong>, you must edit the file web.xml in the folder<br />

tomcat/webapps/spotfire/WEB-INF on each <strong>Spotfire</strong> <strong>Server</strong>.<br />

This is an xml file that you can edit in a text or xml editor, and each parameter is set<br />

like this:<br />

These are the settings you can configure:<br />

jespa.service.account.name<br />

jespa.service.password<br />

jespa.encrypted.service.passw<br />

jespa.ad.site<br />

jespa.dns.servers<br />

jespa.dns.cache.ttl<br />

Corresponds to the Service account name parameter<br />

as specified above.<br />

Corresponds to the Service password parameter as<br />

specified above.<br />

Specifies the encrypted Service password. See below<br />

for instructions on how to set this parameter.<br />

Specifies the NETBIOS version of the Service acount<br />

name. If this is not set, a default name based on the<br />

Service account name is used.<br />

Example: spotfiresrv1<br />

Note: This name may not exceed 15 characters.<br />

Corresponds to the DNS domain parameter as<br />

specified above.<br />

Corresponds to the Resolve DNS domain parameter<br />

as specified above.<br />

Corresponds to the AD site parameter as specified<br />

above.<br />

Corresponds to the DNS servers parameter as<br />

specified above.<br />

Corresponds to the NS cache TTL (ms) parameter as<br />

specified above.<br />
