Summary
Climate change may introduce additional water supply challenges for the City of Watsonville and the
Pajaro Valley. However, the City is already implementing adaptation and mitigation measures and
intends to continue this “no-regrets” strategy as more climate change information and strategies are
developed for the region. The City is committed to working with other agencies and organizations to:
• Better understand the impacts of climate change;
• Develop a coordinated strategy for mitigating and adapting to climate change;
• Reduce the vulnerabilities to the City residents; and
• Work to protect the vital resources and agricultural economy of the Pajaro Valley.
