A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATSONVILLE IMPLEMENTING GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION
20691 AND ELECTING TO PAY EMPLOYER PAID MEMBER
CONTRIBUTIONS TO CALIFORNIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES’
RETIREMENT SYSTEM (“CalPERS”) FOR CITY CLERK AND CITY
MANAGER AND ALL EMPLOYEES IN THE CONFIDENTIAL UNIT,
MANAGEMENT UNIT, MID-MANAGEMENT UNIT, SERVICE
EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION (SEIU)—LOCAL 521 CLERICAL
TECHNICAL UNIT
WHEREAS, the City of Watsonville has the authority to implement Government
Code Section 20691; and
WHEREAS, the City of Watsonville has a written labor policy or agreements
which specifically provide for the inclusion of normal member contributions paid by the
employer; and
WHEREAS, one of the steps in the procedure to implement Section 20691 is the
adoption by the City Council of the City of Watsonville of a resolution to commence said
Employer Paid Member Contributions (“EPMC”); and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Watsonville has identified the following
conditions for the purpose of its election to pay EPMC:
1. This benefit shall apply to all the City Clerk and the City Manager and all
employees in, Confidential Unit, Management Unit, Mid-Management Unit, and Service
Employees International Union (SEIU)—Local 521 Clerical Technical Unit.
2. This modification shall be effective on July 1, 2011.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WATSONVILLE, CALIFORNIA, AS FOLLOWS:
