مِنَ‏ الا ٌّخَرِ‏ قَالَ‏ لاّقْتُلَن َّكَ‏
The latter said to the former: "I will surely, kill
you.''
قَالَ‏ إِن َّمَا یَتَقَب َّلُ‏ الل َّهُ‏ مِنَ‏ الْمُت َّقِينَ‏
The former said: "Verily, Allah accepts only from
those who have Taqwa.
لَئِن بَسَطتَ‏ إِلَى َّ یَدَكَ‏ لِتَقْتُلَنِى مَآ أَنَاْ‏ بِبَاسِطٍ‏ یَدِىَ‏ إِلَيْ‏ ‏َك
لاقْتُلَكَ‏ إِن ِّى أَخَافُ‏ الل َّهَ‏ رَب َّ الْعَلَمِينَ‏
5:28 "If you do stretch your hand against me to kill
me, I shall never stretch my hand against you to kill
you, for I fear Allah; the Lord of all that exists.''
إِن ِّى أُرِیدُ‏ أَن تَبُوءَ‏ بِإِثْمِى وَإِثْمِكَ‏ فَتَكُونَ‏ مِنْ‏ أَصْحَبِ‏
الن َّارِ‏ وَذَلِكَ‏ جَزَآءُ‏ الظ َّلِمِينَ‏
5:29 "Verily, I intend to let you draw my sin on
yourself as well as yours, then you will be one of
the dwellers of the Fire, and that is the recompense
of the wrongdoers.''
فَطَو َّعَتْ‏ لَهُ‏ نَفْسُهُ‏ قَتْلَ‏ أَخِيهِ‏ فَقَتَلَهُ‏ فَأَصْبَحَ‏ مِنَ‏ الْخَسِرِینَ‏
5:30 So the soul of the other encouraged him and
made fair-seeming to him the murder of his
brother; he murdered him and became one of the
losers.
فَبَعَثَ‏ الل َّهُ‏ غُرَاباً‏ یَبْحَثُ‏ فِى الا ٌّرْضِ‏ لِيُرِیَهُ‏ آَيْفَ‏ یُوَارِى
سَوْءَةَ‏ أَخِيهِ‏
5:31 Then Allah sent a crow who scratched the
ground to show him how to hide the dead body of
his brother.
