فَمَن آَفَرَ‏ بَعْدَ‏ ذَلِكَ‏ مِنْكُمْ‏ فَقَدْ‏ ضَل َّ سَوَآءَ‏ الس َّبِيلِ‏
But if any of you after this, disbelieved, he has
indeed gone astray from the straight way.''
فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِم م ِّيثَقَهُمْ‏ لَعن َّهُمْ‏ وَجَعَلْنَا قُلُوبَهُمْ‏
قَاسِيَةً‏
5:13 So, because of their breach of their covenant,
We cursed them and made their hearts grow hard.
یُحَر ِّفُونَ‏ الْكَلِمَ‏ عَن م َّوَضِعِهِ‏ وَنَسُواْ‏ حَظ َّا م ِّم َّا ذُآِرُواْ‏ بِهِ‏
They changed the words from their (right) places
and have abandoned a good part of the Message
that was sent to them.
وَلاَ‏ تَزَالُ‏ تَط َّلِعُ‏ عَلَى خَآئِنَةٍ‏ م ِّنْهُمْ‏ إِلا َّ قَلِيلاً‏ م ِّنْهُمُ‏
And you will not cease to discover deceit in them,
except a few of them.
فَاعْفُ‏ عَنْهُمْ‏ وَاصْفَحْ‏ إِن َّ الل َّهَ‏ یُحِب ُّ الْمُحْسِنِي ‏َن
But forgive them and overlook (their misdeeds).
Verily, Allah loves the doers of good.
وَمِنَ‏ ال َّذِینَ‏ قَالُواْ‏ إِن َّا نَصَرَى أَخَذْنَا مِيثَقَهُمْ‏ فَنَسُواْ‏ حَظّاً‏
م ِّم َّا ذُآِرُواْ‏ بِهِ‏
5:14 And from those who call themselves
Christians, We took their covenant, but they have
abandoned a good part of the Message that was
sent to them.
فَأَغْرَیْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ‏ الْعَدَاوَةَ‏ وَالْبَغْضَآءَ‏ إِلَى یَوْمِ‏ الْقِيَمَةِ‏
وَسَوْفَ‏ یُنَب ِّئُهُمُ‏ الل َّهُ‏ بِمَا آَانُواْ‏ یَصْنَعُونَ‏
So We planted amongst them enmity and hatred till
the Day of Resurrection; and Allah will inform them
of what they used to do.
