• BR is 235km’s north east of Vancouver and exists in a remote<br />

Hire Program May 2006 location in Stl’Atl’Imx traditional territory<br />

• BR generates 492 Mw of energy, 6-8% of BC’s electrical supply<br />

• Approximately 25 employees<br />

Bridge River Generation First Nations and BC Hydro<br />

• BC Hydro has over 2,000 km of transmission lines<br />

and installations located on 500 reserves belonging<br />

to 150 First Nations bands.<br />

• BC Hydro recognizes that the Aboriginal population<br />

of British Columbia have distinct legal, historical,<br />

and cultural status, and is committed to working<br />

with the Aboriginal population.<br />
