At the NATO summit in Chicago in May 2012, the <strong>United</strong> <strong>States</strong>, GIRoA, and international<br />
donors agreed on an estimated annual budget <strong>of</strong> $4.1 billion to sustain the ANSF after 2014.<br />
International donors have committed more than $1 billion annually toward this amount and the<br />
Afghans will provide at least $500 million annually.<br />
Direct Contributions to the Ministry <strong>of</strong> <strong>Defense</strong> and Ministry <strong>of</strong> Interior<br />
In FY1392, 25 NTM-A/CSTC-A allocated $1.26B direct contributions to the MoD in order to<br />
expand the ministry’s ability to procure items in their operations and acquisition accounts.<br />
Increases from FY1391 include transition <strong>of</strong> many service contracts, vehicle fuel, and domestic<br />
fuel requirements.<br />
In FY1392, NTM-A/CSTC-A allocated $442.4M in direct contributions to the GIRoA MoI in<br />
order to expand the ministry’s ability to procure items in their operations and acquisitions<br />
accounts. Increases from FY1391 include transition <strong>of</strong> some service contracts, vehicle fuel, and<br />
increases in salaries and support to the Afghan Local Police (ALP). Afghan National Police<br />
salaries/food are executed through LOTFA. The contribution to LOTFA for FY1392 is $283M<br />
for salaries and an $11M administrative fee, for a total <strong>of</strong> $294M.<br />
International Donations<br />
NTM-A solicits and tracks infrastructure, equipment, and weapon donations, as well as overall<br />
international monetary donations, including bilateral donations for the ANSF.<br />
